My Main Gig:

The one that pays the bills.  I'm an Engineer in real life, working a full time job near Dover, NJ.    I graduated from Rutger's School of Engineering in '84 with a degree in Packaging Engineering.  (While there, I was a brother at Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity).   I was employed as a Packaging Engineer for about 23 years, involved with Military Ammo packaging.  More recently, I work in a large Metal Shop as a Mechanical Engineer, also involved with Military Applications.

An Old Gig...

Once upon a time, I was an avid SCUBA Diver.   I've been certified since 1984, and accumulated the following certifications:   PADI Open Water, NAUI Advanced Open Water, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Drysuit Diver, PADI Ice Diver, PADI Rapid Deployment, PADI Blackwater Search & Rescue,  PADI Divemaster (PADI 170412), YMCA SLAM.    From 1990 to 2002, I was a member of the Denville Volunteer Fire Department as a Public Safety Diver and EMT.    Up till 2004, I acted as as a DiveMaster for Elite Divers, but I gave up my webmaster duties a while ago.    I did some freelance SCUBA diving as well...(recoveries, projects, construction)...usually for giggles, and the occasional paying job.   Right now, due to catering, my SCUBA career is pretty much over.   Haven't dove in years.

Another Old Gig:

From Jan 1990 to March 2002, I was a member of the Denville Volunteer Fire Department as a NJ State Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and a Public Safety Diver.   (I'm no longer an active member or an EMT).    Click Here to read about my experience on 9/11/01, where I responded to the WTC terrorist attacks.

Hobbies:

If you haven't figured it out from my involvement with EPPO, I'm all about cooking.   My life kind of revolves around that.    But also, I'm an Avid Mountain Biker.    I also road bike on occasion.  I love Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Canoeing, Rafting.    I love music and frequently attend concerts and music festivals all over the region.    I spent many years following the Grateful Dead too, seeing just shy of 200 shows.    I'm also no stranger to Interior/Exterior home projects, as time permits.
